Darren played in the Delval League for 3 years; 1 year with the Carneys Point Diamonds and 2 years with the South Jersey Seminoles. Darren was drafted, after his senior year at Vineland High School, by the Milwaukee Brewers as a "draft and follow". After 1 year at Chipola Junior College in Florida, he was signed by the Brewers. At his pro tryout, Darren stunned the scouts by running a 6.1/60, which is the fastest time at any pro tryout since Roberto Clemente ran a similar time over 50 years ago. After 2 years of minor league ball, Darren has 154 stolen bases. We look for Darren to be playing for the Brewers soon.
