Bill Rowell named DelVal Graduate of the Year for 2007

Print this Article Written by: Bob Clark Friday, April 3, 2009The Delaware Valley Baseball Conference is proud to announce that Bill Rowell has been named the Graduate of the year for 2007.
Bill began his DelVal career at the age of 13 playing for Pat Fisher's 89ers in the Sandy Koufax league for 2 years. As a 15 year old, he played with the South Jersey Dukes in the Connie Mack League.
The following year Bill played for the the South Jersey Seminoles. In 2005 he was named to the Championship Connie Mack National team that played in the Tournament of Campions in Joplin, Missouri. Following that tournament, he was selected to the national AFLAC all-star team that played in Aberdeen, Maryland.
In June of 2006, Bill was selected in the first round(9th overall pick) by the Baltimore Orioles. Bill exemplifies the DelVal goal of providing a developmental path in baseball for players from 11U to 18U.
